The GENTENT GTXPFUAE is an XL Universal Portable Generator Running Cover designed for the Extreme Edition line. It lets technicians and operators safely run open-frame portable generators outdoors in rain, snow, and high winds without interrupting power output. The canopy is constructed from NFPA 701 flame-retardant, waterproof dual-coated rip-stop vinyl-coated polyester with welded seams and UV treatment. It carries a cold crack temperature rating of -45 degrees F to 167 degrees F, making it suitable for severe seasonal conditions. Two clear aprons provide unobstructed access to electrical panels during fueling or load management. Manufactured in the USA, this Extreme Edition unit carries a 3-year limited warranty.
This cover is engineered for larger open-frame portable generators ranging from 10,000 watts to 22,000 watts, with a general frame perimeter of approximately 105 inches to 128 inches. It includes four frame adapters compatible with square or round tubular frames, as well as panel or muffler heat shield blocking configurations for direct clamp mounts. The adapters also allow perimeter extension when needed. Available in Tan with Black Trim (GTXPFUAETN) or Grey with Black Trim (GTXPFUAEGR). The cover is appropriate for residential standby scenarios, job sites, and emergency response situations where continuous generator operation during weather events is required.
Designed for larger open-frame portable generators with a wattage range of 10,000 watts to 22,000 watts and a general frame perimeter of approximately 105 inches to 128 inches. Four included frame adapters accommodate square or round tubular frames and various direct clamp mount configurations.
Installation is a three-step process: clamp the frame adapters to the generator frame, assemble the frame structure, and apply the canopy cover. Power down any connected loads and review the generator manufacturer guidelines before securing mounting hardware to the frame. Outdoor-rated elastic straps and hook-and-loop closures should be fully secured before operating the generator under the canopy. Always position the generator on a stable, level surface outdoors in accordance with local codes and generator manufacturer distance-from-structure requirements.
