The GENTENT GTXACSKT00 GenSkirt XL is a full-length, wraparound storage skirt designed to convert a GenTent XL Running Cover into a complete outdoor storage cover for portable generators. Constructed from NFPA 701 flame-resistant (FR) rated, UV-treated vinyl coated polyester, the skirt is rated for temperatures from -45 degrees F to 185 degrees F. It attaches directly to the bottom of an existing GenTent XL canopy using hook-and-loop (Velcro) closures, requiring no tools. This skirt is intended for storage use only and must be removed before operating the generator.

This storage skirt is suited for homeowners, property managers, and service technicians who stage or store portable generators outdoors year-round or in advance of severe weather. It slides over the top of the generator and pulls down to the canopy attachment point, providing full perimeter protection from rain, debris, and UV exposure during non-operational periods. The GenTent XL canopy is sold separately and is required for use with this skirt.

Compatibility

Compatible with GenTent XL canopy systems, including previous 20K GenTent canopy sizes: GenTent 20K and GenTent 20K Stormbracer. GenTent canopy is purchased separately. This product is the storage skirt only.

Installation Notes

Installation does not require tools. Slide the skirt over the top of the generator and pull it down to the base of the GenTent XL canopy, then press the hook-and-loop closures together for a secure seal. This skirt must be fully removed before starting or running the generator — operating a generator with the storage skirt attached creates a serious carbon monoxide and fire hazard. Inspect the skirt and attachment points periodically for wear or damage.
