The GENTENT GTOPFUAS is a weatherproof running cover designed to keep open-frame portable generators operating safely in rain, snow, and severe weather. The canopy uses NFPA 701 flame-retardant, waterproof dual-coated rip-stop vinyl-coated polyester with welded seams and outdoor-rated elastic straps. It is independently lab tested for winds up to 70 MPH, hurricane-force precipitation at 12 inches per hour, and an 18-inch snow load rated at 55 pounds. The temperature operating range spans -15 degrees F to 158 degrees F. Licensed electricians and generator service technicians typically install or configure this cover during storm preparedness or standby power setups.
The GTOPFUAS Standard Edition fits open-frame portable generators ranging from 3,000 watts to 13,000 watts with a frame perimeter of approximately 40 inches to 104 inches. The kit includes four universal frame adapters that work with square or round tubular frames and accommodate panel or muffler heat shield blocking for direct clamp mounts. Adapters also allow frame length and width extension on smaller generators. Protective sides provide access to electrical panels and allow refueling without removing the cover. The Standard Edition is sourced from China and carries a 1-year limited warranty. It is available in Tan with Black Trim (GTOPFUASTN) or Grey with Black Trim (GTOPFUASGR).
Designed for open-frame portable generators ranging from 3,000 watts to 13,000 watts with a general frame perimeter of approximately 40 inches to 104 inches. Fits square and round tubular frame styles using the included universal frame adapters.
Installation does not require special tools and is intended to be completed by the generator operator or a qualified technician in the field. Always shut down and allow the generator to cool before making any adjustments to mounting hardware or adapter positions. Position the unit outdoors only, in accordance with generator manufacturer exhaust clearance requirements and applicable local codes. Never operate a generator indoors or in an enclosed space regardless of cover type.
