The GENTENT GTOICSME is a weatherproof running cover designed to let portable inverter generators operate safely outdoors during rain, snow, and severe weather. Built in the USA, this Extreme Edition canopy is constructed from NFPA 701 flame-retardant, waterproof dual-coated rip-stop vinyl polyester with welded seams and UV treatment. It is rated for operating temperatures from -45 degrees F to 167 degrees F, making it suitable for extreme cold and heat. The cover fits fully encased portable inverter generators ranging from approximately 1,000 watts to 9,500 watts, with a unit perimeter of approximately 40 inches to 104 inches. Licensed electricians, generator service technicians, and knowledgeable owner-operators install and use this product.
The GTOICSME Extreme Edition is intended for residential and light commercial standby power applications where a portable inverter generator must run continuously outdoors in adverse weather. Protective side panels allow access to electrical panels and fuel ports during operation without removing the canopy. The kit is independently lab tested and rated for wind speeds up to 70 MPH, hurricane-force precipitation at 12 inches per hour, and snow loads up to 18 inches or 55 pounds. It is available in Tan with Black Trim (GTOICSMETN) and Grey with Black Trim (GTOICSMEGR).
Designed for fully encased portable inverter generators from approximately 1,000 watts to 9,500 watts with a general unit perimeter ranging from approximately 40 inches to 104 inches.
This cover is installed over a portable generator positioned outdoors on a stable, level surface with adequate clearance from structures per local codes and the generator manufacturer guidelines. Always ensure the generator exhaust is directed away from any occupied space and that carbon monoxide cannot accumulate near entry points. Secure all elastic straps and hook-and-loop closures before starting the generator. Inspect the canopy and hardware periodically for wear, especially after severe weather events.
