The GENOVA PRODUCTS 50005 is a 1/2 inch CPVC pressure pipe rated at 400 PSI at 73 degrees F and 100 PSI at 180 degrees F, with a maximum temperature rating of 210 degrees F. Made from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) to ASTM D2846 material specification, this 10-foot length is designed for potable hot and cold water distribution in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The pipe is lead-free and NSF 61/G listed, meeting the certification requirements for drinking water contact. Licensed plumbers install this pipe using solvent weld joints compatible with standard CPVC cement and fittings.
This pipe is suited for potable hot and cold water distribution applications including supply lines, branch runs, and water heater relief valve drain connections. Its outside diameter matches copper tube size (CTS), allowing it to integrate with CTS-compatible fittings without adapter modifications. CPVC systems using this pipe are accepted by all major model building codes, making it appropriate for permitted residential and commercial plumbing installations. The 210 degrees F temperature rating makes it a rated choice for water heater relief valve drain lines.
Designed for use with standard CTS-dimension CPVC fittings and solvent weld systems for potable hot and cold water distribution. Accepted by all major model building codes for residential and commercial plumbing installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or joining pipe. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement — do not substitute PVC cement. Allow adequate cure time before pressurizing the system per the cement manufacturer's instructions.
