The GENOVA 51405 is a CPVC tube tee fitting designed for hot and cold water distribution in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Sized at 1/2 inch nominal, it features a slip x slip-joint connection and is rated for 100 psi operating pressure. The CPVC construction supports an operating temperature up to 180 degrees F, making it well suited for hot water supply lines where standard PVC fittings would be inadequate. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of copper tube size CPVC systems conforming to ASTM standards.
This fitting is used in residential potable water supply and distribution systems, including branch takeoffs from main runs where a tee configuration is required. The slip x slip-joint design accommodates standard CPVC solvent-cement connections on the primary run ends while allowing a slip-joint connection on the branch outlet. It is appropriate for new construction and retrofit applications in walls, ceilings, and mechanical chases.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/2 inch nominal CPVC copper tube size plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and local amendments. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Use CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer on slip connections, following the cement manufacturer's cure time requirements before restoring pressure. Do not use standard PVC solvent cement on CPVC fittings.
