The GENOVA 50114 is a 1-1/4 inch CPVC coupling designed for joining same-diameter CPVC pipe in a wide range of fluid distribution systems. It uses a CTS Slip x CTS Slip end connection and meets Schedule 40 pressure ratings. CPVC construction makes this fitting suitable for both hot and cold water service, handling higher temperature ranges than standard PVC fittings. It is a lead-free fitting, meeting the material requirements for potable water contact. Plumbers and pipefitters install this coupling during new construction, system extensions, or pipe repairs where a straight, solvent-weld connection is required.
This coupling is used in residential and commercial applications including hot and cold water distribution, irrigation, industrial fluid handling, pool and spa plumbing, and retail plumbing supply. Its CPVC material and Schedule 40 rating make it a reliable choice wherever chlorinated polyvinyl chloride systems are specified. The CTS Slip x CTS Slip configuration accepts standard copper tube size CPVC pipe, making integration with existing CPVC runs straightforward.
Designed for use with 1-1/4 inch CTS CPVC pipe in hot and cold water distribution, irrigation, industrial, pool and spa, and plumbing systems where CPVC Schedule 40 fittings are specified.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or fitting. Clean and deburr pipe ends, apply CPVC primer and solvent cement rated for CPVC per ASTM F493, and allow adequate cure time before restoring system pressure. Do not substitute PVC cement for CPVC-rated solvent cement.
