The GENESIS CABLE 43011001 is a 22 AWG, 4-conductor solid-conductor fire alarm cable rated FPLR (Riser) and packaged on a 1,000-foot reel in white jacket. FPLR-rated cable is listed for use in riser applications where fire spread between floors must be controlled, meeting the requirements of the National Electrical Code for riser installation. The solid conductor construction maintains stable resistance over long runs, making this cable well-suited for initiating device circuits, notification appliance circuits, and control circuits in fire alarm systems. Licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage contractors are the primary installers of this product.
This cable is used in commercial and residential fire alarm system installations where riser-rated wiring is required by the authority having jurisdiction. Typical applications include connecting smoke detectors, pull stations, heat detectors, and notification appliances to fire alarm control panels in multi-story buildings. The 1,000-foot reel format reduces waste and speeds up rough-in work on larger jobs. The white jacket is a common finish for concealed or finished-space installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use fire alarm riser cable compatible with standard 22 AWG, 4-conductor FPLR-rated fire alarm system wiring applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or low-voltage contractor in accordance with NEC Article 760 and all applicable local codes. Power down and de-energize the fire alarm control panel before making any wiring connections. FPLR-rated cable must be installed in riser applications in accordance with the listing; do not substitute this cable in plenum spaces where FPLP-rated cable is required. Verify minimum bend radius and pulling tension limits during installation to avoid conductor damage.
