Genesis Cable 22071109 22AWG 8C Stranded Shielded Cmr CL2R 1000ft

Product Description

The GENESIS CABLE 22071109 is a 22 AWG, 8-conductor stranded shielded security cable rated CMR and CL2R, supplied on a 1000-foot box spool. This cable is designed for low-voltage security, alarm, and access control wiring applications where riser-rated cabling is required by code. The stranded conductor construction provides flexibility during installation and pull-through, and the shielding helps reject electromagnetic interference common in commercial environments. Licensed security and low-voltage technicians are the primary installers of this product.

This cable is suited for residential and light commercial security system installations, including intrusion detection panels, access control readers, motion sensors, door contacts, and other low-voltage devices requiring multiple conductor runs. The CMR riser rating permits vertical runs between floors without the need for conduit in most jurisdictions, while the CL2R rating qualifies it for Class 2 remote-control and signaling circuits under the National Electrical Code. It is packaged in a pull box for clean, tangle-free installation on the job site.

Key Features

• 22 AWG stranded conductors for flexibility and ease of termination
• 8-conductor configuration supports multi-zone or multi-device wiring in a single run
• Shielded construction reduces electromagnetic and radio frequency interference
• CMR riser rating allows vertical floor-to-floor installation per NEC requirements
• CL2R rating qualifies for Class 2 low-voltage signaling and remote-control circuits
• 1000-foot box spool packaging reduces tangling and speeds installation pulls

Compatibility

Designed as a standard riser-rated, shielded multi-conductor cable for low-voltage security, alarm, and access control systems requiring 22 AWG 8-conductor CMR CL2R wiring.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or security systems technician in accordance with NEC Article 725 and applicable local codes. De-energize all panels and control equipment before making terminations. Maintain the shield drain wire continuity and terminate it at a single ground point to avoid ground loops. Do not bend the cable beyond its minimum bend radius or subject it to mechanical stress during the pull.
