The GENERIC / UNBRANDED w12vdc18p/20a is an 18-channel distributed DC power supply panel designed for CCTV and surveillance camera installations. Rated at 12 volts DC and 20 amps total output, this unit delivers regulated power across 18 individual outputs, each protected by a resettable PTC (positive temperature coefficient) fuse. When a short circuit occurs on any output, the PTC fuse trips automatically. Once the fault is cleared, the fuse resets without manual replacement. A built-in on/off power switch with LED indicator and a lockable metal enclosure round out the panel-level safety features. Security installers and low-voltage technicians are the primary end users.
This power supply panel is suited for residential and commercial CCTV deployments where multiple cameras must be powered from a single, centrally located distribution point. It is particularly well matched to night vision cameras equipped with IR LEDs and to standalone IR illuminators, both of which can draw higher inrush current that benefits from per-channel overcurrent protection. The 18-channel layout supports medium-to-large camera counts in a single enclosure, reducing homerun wiring and simplifying load management across a system.
Designed as an OEM-style distributed power panel for 12 volt DC CCTV camera systems requiring multi-channel overcurrent protection at a central distribution point.
Installation of this panel should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or security systems technician in accordance with applicable local electrical codes and NEC Article 725 guidelines for Class 2 and Class 3 remote-control and signaling circuits. Power down the panel completely before making or changing any wiring connections on the output terminals. Do not exceed the 20-amp total system load across all 18 channels. Verify that each camera run is correctly terminated before restoring power, and use the per-channel indicator lights to confirm normal operation on initial startup.
