The poe-i100g is a single-port gigabit Power over Ethernet injector rated at 30 watts. It delivers both data and DC power over a single Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for a separate power run to the connected device. Licensed electricians, low-voltage technicians, and network installers use this injector when an existing switch lacks PoE capability. The unit accepts a standard network input and superimposes DC power onto the Ethernet pair, transmitting both signals over one cable run. Common deployment locations include ceiling-mounted cameras, outdoor pole installations, and remote access points where running a dedicated power circuit would be difficult or cost-prohibitive.
The poe-i100g is suited for residential and commercial installations in security camera systems, wireless networking, and AV environments. It connects between a non-PoE network switch and a PoE-enabled end device such as an IP camera or wireless access point. The single-cable approach reduces conduit fill, limits junction box requirements, and speeds up installation in finished spaces or outdoor enclosures where additional wiring is not practical.
Designed as an inline PoE injector for use with standard 802.3at or 802.3af compatible end devices including IP cameras, wireless access points, and other PoE-enabled network equipment connected to non-PoE gigabit switches.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage technician or network installer. Power down the network switch port before connecting the injector. The injector must be connected to a properly grounded electrical outlet rated for the unit's input requirements. Do not install in enclosed spaces without adequate ventilation, and verify that the end device's PoE power draw does not exceed the injector's 30-watt output rating before completing the installation.
