The cat6-yl is a Category 6 UTP bulk cable rated at 550MHz, built for structured network wiring in commercial and residential installations. Constructed with 23AWG solid bare copper conductors arranged in 4 unshielded twisted pairs, it meets the enhanced performance requirements of ANSI/TIA 568.2-D and ISO/IEC 11801 Class E. The PVC jacket carries a UL CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable, Riser) rating, making it suitable for vertical runs between floors. Each pull box contains 1000 feet of cable, allowing techs to complete full horizontal runs from a single spool without mid-run splices.
This cable is designed for structured cabling installations in office buildings, schools, retail spaces, and residential construction. It supports Gigabit Ethernet and is well suited for data, voice, and low-voltage signal distribution. The pull box format is the standard choice for in-wall and in-ceiling rough-in work where a fish-tape pull is required. Low-voltage cabling contractors and electricians performing data rough-in work are the primary installers.
Designed as a standard-gauge Cat6 UTP bulk cable compatible with RJ45 keystone jacks, patch panels, and modular plugs rated for 23AWG solid Cat6 termination.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage contractor or electrician in accordance with NEC Article 800 and local building codes. Do not exceed the cable manufacturer bend radius during pulls, and avoid stapling or crimping the jacket in a way that deforms the pairs. Maintain pair twist as close to the termination point as possible to preserve crosstalk performance. All riser installations must comply with local fire-stop requirements at floor penetrations.
