The GENERALAIRE 2A-700B is a 10-micron fuel oil filter designed for residential and light commercial oil-fired heating systems. It features an epoxy-coated galvanized steel filter bowl, coated inside and out for corrosion resistance against fuel oil and bio-fuel blends. The 3/8-inch NPT threaded port connects inline on the fuel supply line between the oil tank and burner. Rated to 12 psi, the housing is built to handle typical residential oil heating supply pressures. The 4EVERLOC bottom bolt design secures the filter bowl for reliable service and easy element replacement. Licensed oil burner technicians are the primary installers for this component.
The 2A-700B is suited for oil-fired boilers, furnaces, and water heaters that burn No. 2 fuel oil or bio-fuel blends up to B100. The BioGasket included as standard makes this filter compatible with bio-fuel blends through B100, which is critical in markets where bio-heating oil is common. The 3/8-inch NPT connection is standard on many residential oil heating supply lines. The filter measures 4.375 inches in diameter by 6.25 inches in height, making it a direct fit in typical under-tank or inline filter locations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fuel oil filter for residential and light commercial oil-fired heating equipment using 3/8-inch NPT fuel supply connections and requiring compatibility with bio-fuel blends through B100.
Installation should be performed by a licensed oil burner technician in accordance with applicable local codes and NFPA 31 requirements. Shut off the fuel supply valve and de-energize the burner before servicing or replacing the filter. Ensure all NPT threaded connections are sealed with fuel-compatible thread sealant and checked for leaks after startup. Do not exceed the 12 psi rated working pressure of the filter housing.
