The General Electric nf80u070s3br is an 80% AFUE single-stage gas furnace rated at 70,000 BTU/h with a 3-ton blower capacity, designed for upflow and horizontal flow installations. It ships with the RDSC integrated control board factory installed, reducing field labor on startup. The constant torque motor supports efficient airflow management across varying static pressure conditions. Compatible with R410A and R454B refrigerant systems when applied in combination cooling configurations, the unit is built for residential forced-air heating applications and is sized for B cabinet installations. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and startup on this equipment.
The nf80u070s3br fits residential new-construction and replacement applications where an upflow or horizontal furnace orientation is required. The B cabinet width of 17.5 inches suits standard residential air handler closets and utility rooms. Single-stage heating operation pairs well with conventional thermostats and existing low-voltage wiring. The unit supports R410A and R454B compatible cooling coils when the system is configured as a split system. Emissions meet standard emissions classification for residential gas heating equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style upflow and horizontal flow gas furnace replacement or new-install unit for residential forced-air heating systems requiring a B cabinet form factor at 17.5 inches wide.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer written instructions. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before any service or connection work. The unit must be properly vented per IFGC requirements for 80% AFUE non-condensing furnaces using B-vent or equivalent approved venting. Do not exceed the rated external static pressure for the blower configuration selected during commissioning.
