The GENERAL ELECTRIC nf80d070t3ar is a two-stage downflow gas furnace rated at 80% AFUE with a high-fire output of 66,000 BTU/h and a low-fire output of 52,000 BTU/h. It uses a constant torque motor for consistent airflow across both heating stages. The A cabinet configuration fits standard residential ductwork openings and is designed for downflow installations where supply air exits through the bottom of the unit. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning. The unit is compatible with R410A and R454B refrigerant systems when paired with a matched cooling coil.
This furnace is suited for residential applications where a downflow configuration is required, such as installations on main floors with duct systems routed beneath the unit through a subfloor or crawlspace. The two-stage heating operation allows the furnace to run at reduced capacity during mild demand, lowering short-cycling and improving comfort. The A cabinet width of 14.5 inches fits common narrow-width furnace closets and utility spaces. Standard emissions compliance makes it appropriate for most residential jurisdictions without additional permitting considerations.
Designed as an OEM-style downflow gas furnace for residential forced-air heating systems requiring an A cabinet form factor with downflow airflow orientation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and IFGC requirements. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before beginning any service or replacement work. Verify flue venting configuration and clearances meet manufacturer and code requirements prior to startup. Do not operate the furnace without a properly sealed and inspected heat exchanger.
