The General Electric hw18hn2daa is a single-zone ductless highwall indoor unit rated at 18,000 BTU/h, operating on 208-230 volts, 60 Hz, single phase. Part of the Hotpoint series from GE Appliances, this indoor evaporator head pairs with the 1H18HN2DAA outdoor unit to form a complete mini-split heat pump system. It uses R32 refrigerant and delivers five fan speed stages plus an auto mode, reaching a minimum sound level of 31 dBA at the lowest setting. A high-power turbo mode and warm start technology allow faster heating and cooling response. The auto louver adjusts airflow direction automatically based on operating mode. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit in residential and light-commercial applications.
This unit is designed for single-zone residential or small commercial highwall installations where ductless heat pump conditioning is required. It mounts to an interior wall using a supplied mounting plate and template, with two-way piping drain exits on both the right and left sides to accommodate varied installation layouts. Wi-Fi connectivity integrates with the SmartHQ App, allowing remote temperature and mode control for end users. The extended kickstand and accessible control board simplify servicing without full casing removal. All Hotpoint heat pumps, with limited regional exceptions noted in the CEE directory, carry CEE Tier-2 certification, supporting eligibility for applicable federal and state energy incentive programs.
Designed for use exclusively with the 1H18HN2DAA outdoor unit to form a complete 18K Hotpoint single-zone ductless heat pump system.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with ductless mini-split systems and local mechanical codes. Power must be disconnected at the breaker before mounting or making electrical or refrigerant connections. The liquid-line refrigerant connection is 1/4 inch O.D. and the suction line is 1/2 inch O.D.; use proper flare tools and a torque wrench per the manufacturer specification guide for line connections. R32 is a mildly flammable refrigerant classified A2L — follow all applicable safety and handling procedures required by local code and the equipment manufacturer.
