The General Electric asyw12urdwd is a wall-mounted ductless indoor unit rated at 12,000 BTU/h, designed for single-zone mini-split systems operating on 208-230 volt power. Part of the Endure Series, this highwall unit serves as the indoor air handler in a ductless split configuration, delivering conditioned air directly into a living or working space without the need for ductwork. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as part of a matched mini-split system, pairing it with a compatible outdoor condensing unit. Its highwall mounting position provides efficient air distribution across the conditioned space.
This unit is suited for residential and light commercial single-zone applications where ductless conditioning is preferred or required. Typical installations include additions, converted spaces, server rooms, or any area where extending existing ductwork is impractical. The asyw12urdwd is designed for highwall surface mounting and connects to an outdoor unit via refrigerant lineset and low-voltage control wiring. At 12,000 BTU/h on a 208-230 volt circuit, it covers moderate-sized zones in both cooling and, depending on the matched outdoor unit, heating applications.
Designed as an OEM-style single-zone ductless highwall indoor unit intended for use with a matched General Electric Endure Series outdoor condensing unit. Consult the outdoor unit documentation and General Electric engineering data for verified matched-system pairings before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification. Power to the circuit must be shut off at the breaker before mounting the indoor unit or making any electrical connections. The refrigerant lineset length and routing should follow the matched outdoor unit specifications, and all low-voltage control wiring should be run per NEC guidelines. Do not operate the indoor unit without a properly matched and charged outdoor condensing unit connected.
