The General Electric asyw12urdeb is a single-zone ductless highwall indoor unit from the Endure Series, rated at 12,000 BTU/h and designed for 208-230 volt operation. This unit mounts high on an interior wall and connects to a compatible outdoor condensing unit via refrigerant line set, delivering targeted heating or cooling to a single zone without ductwork. It is installed by licensed HVAC technicians in residential and light commercial applications where space conditioning is needed without a central ducted system.
The asyw12urdeb is suited for single-room or single-zone applications such as room additions, converted spaces, server rooms, or areas where extending existing ductwork is impractical. Operating at 208-230 volts, it is compatible with standard single-phase residential and light commercial electrical service. The Endure Series designation indicates a product line built for reliable long-term performance in variable climate conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style indoor highwall unit for single-zone ductless mini-split systems; must be paired with a compatible General Electric outdoor condensing unit rated for the same capacity and refrigerant type.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification. Before any service or installation work, disconnect power at the breaker and confirm the circuit is de-energized. The indoor unit requires a wall penetration for the refrigerant line set, condensate drain, and communication wiring, and must be mounted level and securely anchored to wall structure capable of supporting the unit weight. Follow all local mechanical and electrical codes, including applicable sections of the IMC and NEC, for line set sizing, electrical disconnect requirements, and condensate drainage.
