The GENERAC 7211 is a blanket-style battery heater kit designed to maintain AGM battery performance in cold-weather conditions on standby generators. The heater wraps directly around the AGM battery, preventing cold-soak voltage drop that can cause hard or failed starts during winter standby activation. This kit is part of Generac's cold-weather accessory line and is intended for installation by qualified generator service technicians. When installing this or any other cold-weather kit component, engine oil must be replaced with 5W-20 full synthetic before returning the unit to service.
