The GEARWRENCH 84329N is a 6-point impact socket designed for high-torque fastener work in professional shop and field environments. Built from chromium-molybdenum steel with a black oxide finish, it accepts a 3/8 inch drive and fits 3/4 inch hex fasteners. At 2.48 inches overall length, it is sized for standard-depth applications. High-visibility laser-etched markings allow fast size identification without picking up the socket, and secondary hard-stamped size markings serve as a backup when the laser etching wears. The off-corner loading design distributes force away from fastener corners, reducing the chance of rounding during high-torque impact use. Meets ASME B107.2 standards and carries a limited lifetime warranty.
This socket is suited for automotive, mechanical, and general maintenance work where a 3/4 inch SAE fastener and a 3/8 inch drive impact wrench or ratchet are in play. It fits into tight-access situations where a standard-depth socket is appropriate. Typical users include automotive technicians, fleet maintenance crews, and industrial mechanics who run 3/8 inch drive impact tools regularly. The black oxide finish reduces glare and provides a measure of corrosion resistance in shop conditions.
Designed for use with 3/8 inch drive impact wrenches, air ratchets, and hand ratchets requiring a 3/4 inch 6-point SAE impact socket.
Impact sockets should only be used with impact-rated drive tools; do not substitute chrome hand-socket sets on impact drivers. Inspect the socket for cracks or deformation before each use and remove it from service if damage is found. Ensure the retaining pin or ring is fully engaged before applying torque to prevent the socket from separating from the drive tool during operation.
