The GENERAL ELECTRIC asyw09prdbb is a single-zone ductless highwall indoor unit rated at 9,000 BTU/h, designed for residential and light-commercial split-system cooling applications. Part of the Altitude Series, this unit operates on 208-230V/60Hz/1-phase power and delivers quiet, efficient room conditioning across five fan speed stages plus auto mode. Indoor sound levels range from 44 dBA at high speed down to 23 dBA at the lowest setting, making it well suited for bedrooms, offices, and living spaces where noise is a concern. A licensed HVAC technician handles installation, pairing this indoor head with the compatible outdoor condensing unit to complete the system.
The asyw09prdbb is intended for single-zone applications only and pairs exclusively with the ASH109PRDBB outdoor unit to form a complete system. The unit features 3-D airflow distribution and Blue Fin coil treatment for corrosion resistance in coastal or humid environments. Warm Start functionality allows the system to delay fan operation until the heat exchanger reaches a comfortable output temperature during heating cycles. Optional Wi-Fi connectivity is available through the AWF01RWA Wi-Fi adapter, sold separately, enabling remote control and scheduling when installed.
Designed for single-zone systems only. The required outdoor unit to complete this system is the ASH109PRDBB. This indoor head is not compatible with multi-zone outdoor units.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with ductless mini-split systems and applicable local mechanical and electrical codes. Disconnect all power at the breaker before handling refrigerant lines or electrical connections. Refrigerant line connections use a 1/4-inch liquid line and a 3/8-inch suction line; use proper flare tools and torque wrenches per the manufacturer installation manual for leak-free joints. Do not attempt to charge or recover refrigerant without EPA Section 608 certification.
