The GENERAL ELECTRIC ash220ncdda is an 18,000 BTU/h multi-zone ductless mini-split outdoor heat pump unit from the Endure Multi series, designed for two-zone residential or light-commercial applications. Powered by a DC inverter-driven rotary compressor, it operates on 208-230 volts, 60 Hz, single phase and delivers reliable heating performance down to -15 degrees F ambient outdoor temperature. The unit ships from the factory pre-charged with 69 ounces of refrigerant and features a blue fin coil coating and a standard base pan heater for cold-climate operation. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this unit as the outdoor section of a matched split system.
The ash220ncdda serves as the outdoor condensing unit in a two-zone ductless mini-split configuration. It is suited for residential or small-commercial installations where two separate indoor zones require independent temperature control without ductwork. Maximum line length is 164 feet (50 meters) and maximum vertical height separation is 50 feet (15 meters). Compatible indoor units are select GE multi-zone indoor units as designated in the Endure Multi system documentation. The cooling operating range is 14 to 115 degrees F and the heating range is -15 to 75 degrees F.
The ash220ncdda is compatible with select GE Endure Multi-zone indoor units as part of the 20K Endure Multi Zone system. Consult the GE Endure Multi series compatibility guide to confirm which indoor unit models are approved for pairing with this outdoor section.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before making any wiring or refrigerant connections. Refrigerant line connections are flare-type and must be leak-tested after connection before system startup. Follow local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions for line-set sizing, clearances, and electrical circuit requirements including the 20-amp minimum circuit ampacity and 25-amp maximum fuse size.
