The GATOR 9752 is a Type 27 depressed-center cut-off wheel designed for cutting and light grinding on metal and stainless steel in a single disc. Measuring 4.5 inches in diameter, 0.078 inches thick (5/64 inch), with a 0.875 inch arbor hole (7/8 inch), this wheel fits standard 4.5-inch angle grinders. It handles both solid bar stock and structural profiles, eliminating the need to swap between a cutting disc and a grinding disc mid-job. Weighing 0.122 pounds, it is a practical single-tool solution for fabricators, pipefitters, ironworkers, and maintenance technicians who need clean cuts on ferrous and stainless steel without stopping to change accessories.
This wheel is suited for use on mild steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel surfaces including flat bar, angle iron, pipe, tube, and sheet profiles. The Type 27 raised-hub geometry provides clearance for flush and angled cuts in tight spaces. It is appropriate for production fab shops, field service work, and MRO applications where cutting speed and disc versatility matter. The combined cut-and-grind capability reduces downtime between operations on the same workpiece.
Designed for use on 4.5-inch angle grinders with a 7/8 inch arbor. Suitable for cutting and grinding mild steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel in solid and profile form.
Install and service by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety requirements per ANSI B7.1. Always confirm the grinder spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the maximum RPM marked on the wheel before mounting. Inspect the disc for cracks or chips before each use and do not use a damaged wheel. Wear appropriate PPE including a face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during operation.
