The GATOR 9618 is a Type 27 depressed-center cut-off wheel engineered for masonry cutting on angle grinders. Built from industrial-grade silicon carbide abrasive, it handles heavy-duty cutting, grinding, and deburring of masonry, concrete, and similar hard materials. The wheel measures 4.5 inches in diameter, 0.25 inches thick, and mounts on a standard 5/8 inch-11 threaded arbor. Double reinforcement extends wheel life and supports faster cuts. The geometry is suited for low-angle and vertical grinding passes, making it a practical choice for tile setters, masons, and general contractors working in demanding site conditions.
This wheel is designed for use with standard angle grinders equipped with a 5/8 inch-11 arbor. Typical applications include cutting brick, block, tile, concrete, and other masonry materials in residential and light commercial construction. It performs in both horizontal and vertical orientations, covering common field cuts, notching, and surface preparation tasks. A single wheel is supplied per unit.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement-style cut-off wheel for angle grinders with a 5/8 inch-11 threaded arbor accepting a 4.5-inch Type 27 wheel.
Installation and wheel changes must be performed by a qualified user following the grinder manufacturer's guard and flange requirements. Always power down and disconnect the angle grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never operate a damaged abrasive wheel. Appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and a face shield is required during operation.
