The GATOR 4222 is a 320-grit, extra-fine sandpaper sheet designed for finishing bare wood surfaces. Each sheet measures 9 inches x 11 inches and is coated with a resin bond that holds abrasive particles more securely than standard glue-bond sandpaper, extending usable life between sheet changes. Sold in boxes of 25 sheets, this product suits finish-prep work in residential woodworking, cabinet shops, and millwork environments where surface smoothness before staining or topcoating is critical. Woodworkers, finish carpenters, and cabinet makers are the primary installers.
The 4222 sheets are suited to fine woodworking and cabinet making applications where bare wood must be brought to a smooth, consistent finish before applying stain, primer, or clear coat. The extra-fine 320 grit removes minor surface imperfections and sanding marks left by coarser grits without cutting too aggressively into the wood fiber. The sheets are sized at the industry-standard 9 x 11 inches, fitting most hand-sanding blocks and compatible with folding for detail work.
Designed for use on bare wood surfaces as a finishing abrasive in hand-sanding and block-sanding applications common to woodworking and cabinet making.
Bare wood should be clean and dry before sanding with 320-grit sheets. Work progressively from coarser grits to reach 320 grit rather than starting at this grit on rough surfaces. Wear appropriate dust protection in accordance with applicable workshop safety guidelines when sanding. Dispose of used sheets when abrasive loading reduces cutting efficiency.
