The GASTITE fsp-16-75 is a flexible corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST) assembly designed to carry natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas in residential and commercial piping systems. The tubing is manufactured from annealed ASTM A240 Type 304 stainless steel with a 1-inch inside diameter and a 1.368-inch outside diameter. A UV-resistant semi-conductive polymer jacket is bonded over the corrugated core. The jacket is the defining feature of the FlashShield Plus design, providing a conductive path intended to reduce arc-fault risk. The coil ships at 75 feet and is installed by licensed plumbers and gas fitters working to IFGC requirements.
This CSST is suited for residential and light commercial gas distribution, running from the gas meter or manifold to individual appliances such as furnaces, water heaters, boilers, dryers, and kitchen ranges. The 1-inch nominal size handles higher flow-rate branch runs and trunk lines in larger residential systems. The 75-foot coil length reduces the number of mechanical fittings required on longer runs, which limits potential leak points. The semi-conductive jacket is part of a listed bonding and grounding system and must be installed with compatible GASTITE fittings and bonding hardware per the manufacturer's installation guide and local code.
Designed for use with compatible GASTITE FlashShield Plus fittings and bonding components as part of a listed CSST system. Must be used with manufacturer-approved termination fittings; no compatibility with non-listed third-party CSST fittings is implied or supported.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), NFPA 54, and all applicable local codes. Shut off and lockout the gas supply at the meter or service valve before making any connections. The semi-conductive jacket bonding system must be completed using GASTITE-approved bonding clamps and conductors per the listed installation instructions — improper or omitted bonding voids the listing. Do not cut or nick the jacket during installation, as jacket integrity is required for the arc-fault mitigation performance of the listed assembly.
