The GAST 6AM-NRV-11A is a 4-horsepower reversible air-actuated motor built for industrial and commercial applications where compressed air is the preferred power source. Rated at up to 3,000 RPM with a minimum speed of 300 RPM, it delivers a maximum torque of 115 inch-pounds across its operating range. The motor uses a keyed shaft measuring 5/8 inch in diameter and 2.06 inches in length, allowing direct coupling to driven equipment. Maximum working pressure is 100 psi, and maximum airflow is 128 CFM. Licensed HVAC and industrial mechanics install this unit in pneumatic drive systems where variable speed and bidirectional shaft rotation are required.
The 6AM-NRV-11A mounts using the NEMA 56C face-mount standard, making it compatible with a wide range of gear reducers, pumps, compressors, and other NEMA 56C-flanged components commonly found in light industrial, process equipment, and commercial mechanical rooms. Shaft rotation is fully reversible via air-direction control, which is useful in applications that require forward and reverse operation without electrical switching. The motor is well-suited for environments where spark-free operation is required or where electrical power is unavailable or impractical.
Designed for use with NEMA 56C-flanged equipment including gear reducers, pumps, and mechanical drive assemblies that accept a standard 5/8-inch keyed shaft input.
Installation is typically performed by a qualified industrial mechanic or maintenance technician. Before mounting, isolate and lock out the compressed air supply line and verify system pressure does not exceed the 100 psi maximum rating. Use appropriate pipe fittings and thread sealant on all air connections, following applicable OSHA and facility safety codes. Ensure the mating NEMA 56C flange surface is clean and that coupling alignment is confirmed before applying air pressure.
