The GASOILA ZT21 is a general purpose PTFE pipe repair tape designed for sealing and protecting threaded pipe connections across a wide range of plumbing, HVAC, and industrial applications. At 0.5 inches wide and 520 inches long, this roll provides substantial coverage per unit. The tape is 3 mil thick and manufactured from virgin PTFE, giving it a temperature range of -450 degrees F to 550 degrees F. Its white color is the standard indicator for general purpose PTFE thread seal tape. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians rely on this tape for leak-free threaded joints on water, gas, and air lines.
This tape is suited for residential and light commercial installations wherever threaded pipe connections require sealing. Common applications include wrapping male NPT threads on water supply lines, gas piping, compressed air fittings, and HVAC refrigerant line components where PTFE tape is appropriate. The 520-inch roll length supports multiple applications per roll, making it practical for service technicians who complete several fittings per job. It is handled by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters as a standard consumable in everyday pipe work.
Designed as a general purpose PTFE thread seal tape suitable for use on standard NPT threaded pipe joints in plumbing, HVAC, and compressed air systems where PTFE tape is an approved sealing method.
PTFE thread tape is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians following applicable code requirements such as the IPC and IFGC. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembling any threaded joint. Wrap the tape clockwise around the male threads, in the direction of makeup, to prevent the tape from unraveling as the fitting is tightened. Verify local code acceptance of PTFE tape on gas lines before use, as some jurisdictions require pipe dope or a listed thread sealant compound instead.
