The GASOILA ZT20 is a general-purpose PTFE pipe repair tape designed for sealing threaded pipe connections across a wide range of plumbing, HVAC, and gas-line applications. Made from virgin PTFE film at 3 mil thickness, it measures 0.5 inches wide by 260 inches long and carries a temperature rating from -450 degrees F to 550 degrees F. That extreme range makes it suitable for both cryogenic service and high-temperature steam or exhaust applications. The white tape conforms easily to male pipe threads and creates a leak-resistant seal when wrapped before assembly. Plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians regularly use this tape as a standard part of threaded joint preparation.
The ZT20 is used on threaded pipe joints in residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating systems, gas distribution lines, and compressed-air fittings. Its PTFE construction resists most chemicals, making it appropriate for water, steam, gas, and many industrial fluid services. The 260-inch roll length provides enough material for multiple joint applications per roll, keeping the tape practical for service technicians working on multi-connection jobs in the field or on the bench.
Designed as a general-purpose PTFE thread sealant tape suitable for use on standard male-threaded pipe connections across plumbing, HVAC, gas, and light industrial piping systems.
Shut off the relevant gas or fluid supply and relieve system pressure before disassembling any threaded joint. Wrap the tape clockwise around the male threads, starting at the first thread and overlapping each pass by approximately half the tape width, before threading the fitting by hand and then with a wrench. Follow applicable codes such as the IPC and IFGC for thread sealing requirements on gas and water lines. Do not use on fittings that will be soldered or cemented.
