The GASOILA SS28 is a pipe thread sealant formulated for use on threaded pipe connections across a wide range of plumbing, gas, and mechanical piping systems. Supplied in a 1-gallon can with an Easy Seal applicator, it uses the Gasoila Soft-Set chemistry to seal threads without fully hardening, allowing for future disassembly. The blue-green color aids visual confirmation of coverage during application. Rated for service from -100 degrees F up to 600 degrees F, it is suitable for high-temperature piping environments. Plumbers, pipefitters, and gas service technicians are the primary installers.
This sealant is applied to male pipe threads before assembly on systems carrying gas, water, steam, or other compatible media. The wide temperature range makes it appropriate for residential and light commercial applications including gas distribution lines, steam piping, and general plumbing. The Soft-Set formula stays pliable after cure, which is useful on connections that may require periodic maintenance or adjustment. The 1-gallon container size suits service shops, contractors, and maintenance facilities with ongoing thread-sealing volume requirements.
Designed for use on threaded pipe connections in gas, water, and steam piping systems where a pliable, non-hardening thread sealant is required.
Applied by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or gas technicians in accordance with applicable codes such as the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) and International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off all pressure to the line and depressurize the system before disassembling or making up any threaded joint. Apply sealant to clean, dry male threads only, keeping the first thread clear of compound to prevent contamination of the piping system. Allow adequate cure time per the system pressure and media before returning the line to service.
