The GASOILA SA26-34 is a high density PTFE-based pipe repair tape designed for sealing and wrapping threaded pipe connections across a wide range of service temperatures. At 4.3 mil thick and made from a nickel base polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material, this tape delivers chemical resistance and durability where standard thread seal tapes fall short. Each roll measures 0.75 inches wide by 260 inches long, providing ample coverage for multiple fittings per roll. It is rated for service from -450 degrees F to 550 degrees F, making it suitable for both cryogenic and high-heat applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this product.
This tape is used on threaded pipe joints in plumbing, HVAC, industrial gas, and chemical service systems where standard PTFE tape lacks the density or temperature range required. The high density construction compresses more uniformly into thread roots, reducing the risk of leaks on metal-to-metal fittings. It is well suited for use on gas lines, steam lines, and specialty fluid systems operating at temperature extremes. Wrap the tape clockwise around male threads, applying even tension to ensure full thread coverage without bunching. Do not use this tape as a substitute for thread sealant compounds where compound is required by code or manufacturer specification.
