The GASOILA GT90 is a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) oxygen pipe repair tape engineered for use on oxygen service lines and other high-demand pipe sealing applications. The tape measures 0.5 inches wide by 260 inches long and carries a 3.7 mil thickness, providing a reliable, conformable seal across threaded pipe fittings. With an operating temperature range of -450 degrees F to 550 degrees F, this tape holds up in extreme thermal environments without becoming brittle or breaking down. It is green in color, the recognized convention for oxygen service products, helping technicians quickly identify compatible materials during installation and inspection. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and pipe fitters are the primary installers.
This tape is suited for residential and commercial piping systems where oxygen-compatible thread sealant is required. It applies to threaded connections in oxygen supply lines, medical gas rough-in work, and specialty gas distribution piping. The wide temperature tolerance makes it appropriate for both indoor climate-controlled environments and installations subject to significant thermal cycling. At 0.05 pounds per roll, it is lightweight enough for everyday carry in a service kit without adding bulk to a technician's bag.
Designed as an OEM-style thread seal tape for oxygen service piping systems using standard threaded pipe fittings where PTFE sealant tape is the specified sealing method.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable codes including NFPA 99 for medical gas systems and local mechanical codes for specialty gas piping. Shut off and fully depressurize the gas or oxygen supply before disassembling any threaded connection. Apply tape in the direction of thread engagement, overlapping each wrap for complete coverage, and inspect all connections for leaks after pressurization. Do not use this tape on connections that require a pipe dope or liquid thread sealant as the sole listed method.
