The GARDNER BENDER PS-225BG is a UV-resistant polyethylene cable staple designed to secure NM, UF, and other NM-type cables up to 3-conductor No. 10 in residential and light commercial electrical installations. Each staple ships with two zinc-plated nails that can be driven simultaneously without splitting wood. Nail heads recess flush into the staple body, minimizing surface exposure after installation. The high-grade polyethylene construction resists rot, rust, and degradation from temperature extremes and ultraviolet sunlight exposure. This 225-count pack is suited for electricians running cable in new construction or retrofit wiring projects.
These staples are used in standard residential and light commercial electrical rough-in work where NM or UF cable must be fastened to wood framing, joists, or sheathing. The 1/2-inch opening accommodates cables up to 3-conductor No. 10, making them appropriate for branch circuit wiring. The UV-resistant material makes them suitable for both interior and exterior or partially exposed applications where sunlight contact is possible.
Designed for use with NM, UF, and other NM-type electrical cables up to 3-conductor No. 10 gauge, for attachment to wood framing in residential and light commercial wiring applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician during electrical rough-in. Cable staples must be installed in accordance with NEC requirements for cable support spacing and must not be driven so tightly as to damage cable insulation. Power circuits being fastened should be de-energized before work begins. Use a hammer to drive both nails simultaneously as designed, avoiding overdriving that could compress the cable jacket.
