The GARDNER BENDER MSI-1525T is a 1/2 inch insulated cable staple designed for securing non-metallic (NM) cable in residential and light commercial wiring applications. Constructed from carbon steel with a PVC insulator, it protects cable sheathing from abrasion and metal contact while holding cable firmly against framing. Each staple accommodates trade sizes from two No. 14 conductors up to three No. 10 conductors, making it a practical match for common branch-circuit cable runs. Electricians reach for this staple when routing NM cable through wood framing members during rough-in work.
This staple is suited for residential new construction and remodel wiring where NM cable must be fastened per NEC spacing requirements. The PVC insulating bridge keeps the steel body from contacting cable insulation directly, which is a code-relevant detail in many jurisdictions. Each pack contains 15 staples, and the minimum order quantity is 5 packs, making it straightforward to stock job-site pouches or service vehicles without over-ordering.
Designed for use with non-metallic sheathed cable in residential and light commercial electrical installations where insulated cable staples are required by code.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians during rough-in or finish wiring stages. De-energize all circuits in the work area before stapling near existing wiring. Drive staples snug against the cable without compressing the sheathing — overtightening can damage insulation and create a code violation. Refer to NEC Article 334 for NM cable support and stapling spacing requirements.
