The GARDNER BENDER MS-1550T is a carbon steel cable staple designed for securing low-voltage and general wiring during rough-in and finish electrical work. Each staple measures 0.5 inches wide by 0.9375 inches in leg length and features a recessed head that directs hammer force along the staple legs, producing a straighter, more controlled drive. The design also allows easy starting by hand before driving, reducing fumbling on the job. This 24-count pack is suited for electricians and low-voltage installers who need a reliable, consistent fastener for cable management on framing, sheathing, and similar substrates.
These cable staples are used in residential and light commercial electrical rough-in work to secure NM cable, low-voltage wiring, and similar conductors to wood framing members. The recessed-head geometry is particularly useful when driving in tight spaces or overhead, where a clean, flush seating of the staple is important. The 24-count pack format is appropriate for targeted runs or topping off a tool pouch on service calls.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement staple for securing NM cable and low-voltage wiring to wood framing in residential and light commercial electrical installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or low-voltage technicians in accordance with NEC requirements for cable support and protection. De-energize all circuits in the work area before fastening cables. Drive with a standard hammer, using the recessed head as a guide to keep legs parallel and avoid pinching or damaging cable insulation. Do not over-drive staples, as crushing the cable jacket can violate code and damage conductors.
