The GARDNER BENDER HST-750 is a heat shrink tubing rated for general electrical insulation and repair applications. Measuring 0.75 inches in diameter and 4 inches in length, it features a 2-to-1 shrink ratio that collapses the tubing into a smooth, tight-fitting sleeve over wires, terminals, and cord ends. The flexible construction maintains pliability after shrinking, making it well suited for applications where the finished assembly must bend or flex during use. This tubing is UL listed and CSA approved, meeting recognized safety standards for electrical insulation components. Electricians, maintenance technicians, and tool repair professionals are the primary installers.
This heat shrink tubing is designed for repairing and protecting electrical cords on power tools and household appliances, as well as providing handle grip coverage on hand tools. The 2-to-1 shrink ratio accommodates a wide range of conductor and connector diameters, making it a practical shop or truck-stock consumable for service calls where cord repairs or wire termination protection are needed. Suitable for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where a flexible, insulating sleeve is required.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink insulation sleeve suitable for general electrical cord repair, wire bundling, and handle grip protection across a wide range of hand tools and appliances.
Installation is performed by electricians or qualified maintenance technicians following applicable NEC guidelines. Power down and de-energize all circuits before applying tubing over any wire or terminal. Slide the tubing over the work area before making any connections, then apply controlled heat evenly around the tubing, staying below 200 degrees F, until the sleeve shrinks uniformly. Avoid using an open flame; a heat gun set to a low temperature setting is the recommended tool for controlled, even shrinkage.
