The GARDNER BENDER HST-250R is a thin-wall polyolefin heat shrink tubing designed for electrical cable insulation, wire marking, and bundle management. Rated for 600 volts dielectric strength and built with a 2:1 shrink ratio, it delivers reliable mechanical protection, abrasion resistance, and moisture sealing once applied. The tubing operates continuously from -67 degrees F to 275 degrees F, with an activation shrink range of 250 degrees F to 480 degrees F. Flame-retardant construction and resistance to common fluids and solvents make it a dependable choice for licensed electricians and low-voltage installers working in dry, above-ground environments.
This tubing is suited for residential and commercial electrical work where insulation, strain relief, or color-coded marking of conductors and connections is required. At 1/4 inch diameter and 4 inches in length, each piece fits standard wire and terminal applications. It is intended for above-ground use only and should not be used in direct burial or submerged installations. Electricians, datacom technicians, and panel builders commonly use this size for protecting splices, connector terminations, and wire harness segments.
Designed as a general-purpose heat shrink sleeve for above-ground electrical insulation, wire marking, and bundling applications on standard conductors and terminal connections.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified low-voltage technicians following applicable NEC guidelines. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any conductor or connection. Use a calibrated heat gun to apply even heat around the tubing until full shrink is achieved — avoid open flame, which can cause uneven recovery or charring. Do not install in direct burial, submerged, or continuously wet locations.
