The GARDNER BENDER 45-315UVB is a UV-resistant black nylon cable tie built for outdoor and exposed-environment wiring applications. Measuring 14 inches in length and 0.17 inches in width, this tie is rated for service from 32 degrees F through 185 degrees F, making it suitable for installations subject to direct sunlight, heat, and weather. The black nylon compound is formulated to resist degradation from ultraviolet light exposure. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use these ties for bundling conductors, securing cable runs, and organizing wiring in panels, conduit trays, and outdoor enclosures. Sold in an 8-pack.
These cable ties are appropriate for residential and commercial electrical installations where cables and wire bundles are exposed to sunlight or outdoor conditions. Typical applications include securing exterior wiring, HVAC equipment wiring harnesses, pool and spa equipment conduit runs, and any cable management task requiring a durable, weather-resistant fastener. The bent tip design aids single-hand insertion into the tie head, and smooth radiused edges allow the strap to pull through cleanly without binding.
Designed as a general-purpose UV-resistant cable tie suitable for electrical, HVAC, pool, and low-voltage wiring applications requiring outdoor-rated bundling hardware.
Cable ties of this type are installed by electricians, HVAC technicians, and low-voltage installers in accordance with NEC bundling and support requirements for the applicable wiring method. De-energize circuits before working in panels or enclosures where these ties will be applied. Use flush-cut side cutters to trim the tail after tensioning to avoid a sharp edge that could contact adjacent wiring or personnel. Do not over-tension on fine-gauge conductors, as excessive cinching can damage insulation.
