The GARDNER BENDER 20-126 is an insulated butt splice connector designed to join 12 AWG to 10 AWG copper conductors in a secure, color-coded termination. The yellow insulation sleeve identifies it as the correct size range for 12-10 AWG wire, allowing electricians to quickly select the right connector on the job. This connector provides a reliable crimp termination suitable for branch circuit wiring, appliance connections, and general electrical splicing work. Each pack contains 15 connectors. The 20-126 carries UL listing and CSA approval, meeting the certification requirements for professional electrical installations in the United States and Canada.
This butt splice connector is used in residential and light commercial electrical work wherever two conductors in the 12-10 AWG range must be joined end to end. Typical applications include panel feed extensions, fixture wiring, appliance hook-ups, and repair splices in existing branch circuits. Licensed electricians and experienced electrical technicians are the primary installers. The 15-pack quantity supports service call kits and small installation jobs where multiple splices may be required.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp butt splice for use with 12 AWG and 10 AWG copper conductors in standard residential and light commercial wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local amendments. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any splice connection. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for insulated butt splices to achieve a proper crimp — do not use pliers or non-rated tools, as an incomplete crimp can result in a high-resistance joint or conductor pull-out. Inspect the insulation sleeve after crimping to confirm it is undamaged and fully covers the barrel.
