The GARDNER BENDER 20-116 is a vinyl-insulated barrel spade terminal designed for crimp-type wire connections in electrical wiring applications. Rated at 600 volts maximum and suitable for use at temperatures up to 167 degrees F (75 degrees C), this terminal delivers consistent, secure terminations on 12 to 10 AWG conductors. The spade configuration allows fast attachment and removal from screw terminals without fully removing the fastener. Each pack contains 14 terminals, making it a practical stocking item for electricians and panel technicians who work through high volumes of terminations on a regular basis.
This terminal is appropriate for residential and light commercial electrical work where 12 or 10 AWG wiring is used, including branch circuit connections, panel wiring, appliance hookups, and control wiring. The screw-slot spade tongue fits standard 8 to 10 hardware. The vinyl insulation provides basic mechanical protection at the crimp barrel and helps prevent incidental contact with adjacent conductors in tight junction boxes or enclosures.
Designed as a crimp-type spade terminal compatible with 12 to 10 AWG wire and number 8 to 10 screw terminals, suitable for standard residential and light commercial electrical termination applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified electrical technicians. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for insulated terminals to ensure a proper, gas-tight crimp on the barrel. Connections must comply with applicable NEC requirements for the circuit type and enclosure.
