The GARDNER BENDER 10-410C is a zinc-plated steel splice cap designed for fast, reliable wire terminations in electrical work. The open-end construction lets electricians cut wires flush with the cap, saving time on trim and finish work. Caps release cleanly without damaging conductors, which simplifies re-termination when corrections are needed. This 100-pack suits service calls, new construction rough-in, and panel work where splice caps are consumed in volume. Compatible wire range runs from No. 18 through No. 10 AWG, covering the most common branch-circuit and low-voltage conductor sizes found in residential and light commercial installations.
The 10-410C is suited for splicing and joining conductors in junction boxes, fixture boxes, and panel enclosures. Typical applications include branch-circuit connections, fixture wiring, and device pigtailing. The open-end design accommodates a minimum of two No. 6 conductors and a maximum of two No. 10 with one No. 12, giving the installer flexibility across a range of common wire combinations without reaching for a different cap size.
Designed for use with copper conductors ranging from No. 18 to No. 10 AWG, with a minimum fill of two No. 6 and a maximum fill of two No. 10 with one No. 12, in standard residential and light commercial electrical applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified trades personnel in accordance with NEC requirements for splicing and joining conductors. Always de-energize the circuit at the breaker and verify absence of voltage with a meter before making any splice. Insert conductors fully into the cap before twisting to ensure full thread engagement, and confirm the cap is seated firmly with no exposed bare conductor below the cap skirt.
