The GALVAN INDUSTRIES 7510 is a UL Listed copper coated ground rod designed for electrical grounding systems in residential, commercial, and industrial installations. The rod features a rigid steel core with a minimum 10 mil copper coating that is metallurgically bonded to the steel — not electroplated over a separate layer — producing a durable, conductive surface that meets NEC grounding requirements. The nominal diameter is 3/4 inch, with an actual diameter ranging from 0.673 to 0.683 inches, and the rod is 10 feet in length. Licensed electricians and grounding contractors install this rod as part of a grounding electrode system per NEC Article 250.
This ground rod is suited for grounding electrode systems in new construction, service upgrades, and retrofit grounding applications. The 10-foot length and 3/4-inch nominal diameter satisfy NEC minimum requirements for driven ground rods. The black color code identifies the rod diameter for quick field identification. The matching coupling for extensions is the Galvan 70-TC. Rods are packaged in sub-bundles of 5 and master bundles of 50, making jobsite quantity management straightforward for electrical contractors.
Compatible with the Galvan 70-TC matching coupling for rod extensions. Designed as an OEM-style driven ground rod for use in grounding electrode systems requiring a 3/4-inch nominal, UL Listed copper coated rod per NEC Article 250 specifications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 250 and applicable local codes. De-energize the service before making grounding electrode connections. Drive the rod to the required depth using an appropriate ground rod driver — never cut the rod to reduce length below 8 feet, as rods shorter than 8 feet do not meet UL or NEC requirements. Secure grounding electrode conductors with listed clamps rated for use with copper coated rods.
