The G E LIGHTING 93116005 is a 14-watt LED A19 lamp engineered for garage and utility environments where reliable, high-output light is required. It delivers 1,600 lumens at a 2,700 Kelvin color temperature, producing a warm soft-white light comparable to a traditional 100-watt incandescent. The lamp carries a CRI of 90, meaning colors render accurately under it — useful in workshops and service bays. Rated for 15,000 hours of use (roughly 13.7 years at average daily runtime), this lamp is designed to reduce replacement frequency in hard-to-reach fixtures. It fits a standard medium base and is not dimmable.
This lamp is suited for residential and light-commercial garage applications, including overhead fixtures, utility ceiling mounts, and shop lights that accept an A19 medium-base bulb. Electricians and general contractors specify this lamp in new construction and retrofit projects where long-rated-life and high lumen output are priorities. It is also appropriate for storage areas, basements, and utility rooms that share the same fixture requirements as a standard garage bay.
Designed as a direct replacement for standard medium-base A19 lamp sockets in garage and utility fixtures. Compatible with fixtures rated for medium-base lamps drawing up to 100 watts. Not compatible with dimmer switches or dimmer-controlled circuits.
Installation is suitable for any qualified electrician or knowledgeable maintenance technician. Always switch off power at the fixture or wall switch before replacing the lamp, and allow any existing lamp to cool fully before handling. Confirm the fixture is rated for medium-base bulbs and is wired to a non-dimmer circuit, as operating a non-dimmable LED on a dimmer switch can shorten lamp life and may damage the driver. Follow all applicable NEC requirements for luminaire replacement in occupied structures.
