The G E LIGHTING 37205 is a 15-watt T8 LED linear bulb designed as a direct replacement for 40-watt incandescent lamps in commercial and residential fluorescent fixture applications. Operating at 4,000 Kelvin color temperature, it produces cool white light at 1,800 lumens with a CRI of 80, making it well suited for offices, retail spaces, warehouses, and utility areas. The medium bi-pin base installs into standard T8 lamp sockets, and the bulb is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimming ballast or driver. Licensed electricians and lighting contractors are the typical trade installers for this product.
This T8 LED bulb is intended for use with approved electronic ballasts and is rated as universal, meaning it fits any type of electronic or magnetic ballast. Each package contains 6 bulbs. With a rated life of 36,000 hours and an estimated lamp life of approximately 32.87 years under typical usage conditions, this bulb is suited for high-use environments where frequent relamping is costly. It is packaged in a boxed format for easy handling and storage on the job.
Designed for use with approved electronic ballasts in standard T8 lamp fixtures. Universal ballast design fits any type of electronic or magnetic ballast. Dimmable operation requires a compatible dimming ballast or driver.
T8 LED linear bulbs should be installed by a licensed electrician or qualified lighting technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the fixture completely before removing the existing lamp or accessing the ballast. Confirm ballast compatibility before installation, especially in dimming applications, to ensure proper operation and avoid premature lamp failure. Do not install in open or enclosed fixtures not rated for LED sources unless the fixture manufacturer has confirmed compatibility.
