The G E LIGHTING 22489 is a double-ended quartz halogen lamp rated at 100 watts and 120 volts. It uses a T3 tubular envelope with a clear finish and an R7S base, making it a direct-fit replacement in single-ended and double-ended halogen fixtures common to work lights, floor lamps, security lighting, and commercial display applications. The lamp produces 1,650 lumens of output with a rated life of 1,500 hours. Maximum overall length (MOL) is 3.13 inches. Electricians and lighting contractors install this type of lamp in recessed, surface-mount, and portable fixture housings designed for R7S-base T3 halogen sources.
This lamp is suited for residential and light commercial lighting applications where a compact, high-output halogen source is required. Typical install scenarios include worksite task lighting, outdoor floodlight fixtures, and architectural accent fixtures using double-ended R7S sockets. The T3 shape and 3.13-inch MOL allow it to fit fixture housings with tight clearance tolerances. It ships in a carded retail pack and is sold in quantities of five per package.
Designed as a replacement for double-ended R7S-base T3 halogen lamp sockets in residential and commercial fixtures requiring a 100-watt, 120-volt halogen source with a 3.13-inch MOL.
Halogen lamps of this type are installed by licensed electricians or qualified service personnel. Always de-energize and lock out the fixture circuit before replacing the lamp. Avoid touching the quartz envelope with bare skin, as oils from skin contact can cause premature lamp failure and create a hot-spot hazard. Allow the fixture to cool completely before handling the used lamp, as operating temperatures are high.
