The JIANGSU FASHION COMPOSITE ST fzst6036c-40 is a 60-inch by 36-inch shower base built from sheet molding compound (SMC) — a composite of resin, fiberglass, and stone filler. SMC construction delivers roughly four times the impact resistance and 2.5 times the temperature resistance of standard acrylic bases. The base features a lightly textured slate-style floor surface for slip resistance and a center drain location. A rectangular stainless steel drain cover is included; the drain fitting itself is not. Structural ribbing on the underside supports leveling and long-term stability. Licensed plumbers and tile contractors are the typical installers for this type of unit.
This shower base is suited for residential and light commercial shower enclosure installations where a single threshold configuration is required. The included add-on threshold is 60 inches long and features a 4-inch wide flat surface that accommodates a range of standard shower door systems. The base can be trimmed up to 4 inches in width from either side of the drain or up to 2 inches in depth from the drain without compromising structural integrity, allowing adaptation to slightly non-standard alcove openings. Three aluminum tiling flanges are included for waterproof integration with wall substrates.
Designed as a field-trimmable replacement or new-installation shower base for standard 60-inch by 36-inch alcove shower enclosures requiring a single threshold and center drain configuration. Compatible with conventional 2-inch shower drain fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or tile contractor in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes. Power down or isolate any nearby electrical circuits before beginning work in the shower area. The base is set atop a thinset mortar bed; once leveled and the drain is connected, wall substrate material should be installed approximately 0.25 inches above the aluminum flanges before shower wall panels or tile are applied. Aluminum flanges should be secured using epoxy or 100% silicone — do not use standard caulk in place of these materials for the waterproof seal. The drain fitting is not included and must be sourced separately.
