The FREUD PMAPC1070-S14 is a 14-piece carbide-tipped masonry drill bit set designed for drilling into brick, block, and similar masonry materials. Each bit features a brazed carbide tip that holds an edge longer than standard high-speed steel in abrasive substrates. Dual-flute geometry channels dust and debris out of the hole during drilling, reducing heat buildup and keeping the bore clean. This set is intended for use in rotary mode only and is appropriate for electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors who regularly drill penetrations through masonry walls and blocks.
This set covers the most common penetration sizes encountered on residential and light commercial job sites. It includes three bits at 1/8 inch, two at 5/32 inch, three at 3/16 inch, three at 1/4 inch, one at 5/16 inch, one at 3/8 inch, and one at 1/2 inch, for a total of 14 bits across seven sizes. The range addresses anchor pilots, conduit penetrations, pipe sleeves, and mounting holes through brick veneer, CMU block, and similar substrates. These bits are not rated for hammer-drill or SDS mode.
Designed for use with standard rotary-mode drills. These bits are intended for drilling into brick, block, and general masonry surfaces. They are not compatible with hammer-drill or SDS-mode operation.
Masonry drilling should be performed by the appropriate trade for the given application, such as a licensed electrician for conduit penetrations or a plumber for pipe sleeves. Set drill to rotary mode only before use — engaging hammer mode will damage the bits. Allow the bit to do the work at moderate speed and consistent pressure to avoid tip fracture. When drilling near structural elements, consult applicable building codes before coring.
