The FREUD PMAPC1060 is a carbide-tipped masonry drill bit designed for drilling into brick, block, and similar masonry substrates. Sold in a 5-pack, each bit measures 1/2 inch in diameter and 6 inches in length, making it suited for deeper penetration tasks that require a full-size shank bit. The carbide tip is engineered to maintain cutting edge integrity through tough, abrasive masonry materials, extending service life compared to standard steel bits. Dual flutes run the length of the bit to continuously evacuate dust and debris from the hole during drilling, which reduces binding and produces cleaner bore walls. This bit is intended for use in rotary drill mode only.
The PMAPC1060 is intended for trade and contractor use in residential and light commercial masonry applications. Typical install scenarios include anchor bolt pre-drilling, conduit penetrations through block walls, mounting hardware installation in brick veneer, and general fastener prep work. The 6-inch length provides clearance for thicker block courses or situations where a standard-length bit cannot reach. Suitable for use with corded or cordless rotary drills with a standard chuck.
Designed for use with standard rotary drills in rotary mode only. Compatible with common chuck sizes that accept a 1/2-inch shank. Suitable for drilling into brick, concrete block, and similar masonry materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified tradesperson familiar with masonry drilling procedures. Ensure the drill is set to rotary mode only before use — engaging hammer mode with this bit can cause premature tip failure or bit breakage. Eye protection and a dust mask rated for silica-containing dust are required when drilling masonry, in accordance with applicable OSHA and site safety standards. Allow the bit to cool between extended drilling cycles to preserve carbide tip integrity.
