The FREUD PMAPC1040 is a carbide-tipped masonry drill bit sized at 1/4 inch diameter by 6 inches in length, sold in a 5-piece pack. Designed for use with standard rotary-mode drills, this bit bores clean, accurate holes in brick, block, and similar masonry substrates. The carbide tip delivers hardness and wear resistance needed to handle abrasive masonry materials, extending service life compared to standard steel bits. Dual flutes run along the length of the bit, channeling dust and debris out of the hole as drilling progresses. This bit is marketed under the Avanti Pro line and is suited for trade and residential masonry work where consistent hole quality is required.
This bit is intended for drilling into brick, concrete block, and comparable masonry surfaces in both residential and light commercial settings. Typical applications include anchor bolt holes, fastener penetrations, and conduit or pipe sleeve openings through masonry walls. The 6-inch length provides sufficient reach for through-wall applications in standard-thickness block and brick construction. The 5-piece pack format supports job-site use where multiple holes or backup bits are needed. This bit must be used in rotary mode only and is not rated for hammer or SDS rotary-hammer operation.
Designed for use with standard rotary-mode drills. Suitable for drilling into brick and concrete block. Not rated for hammer drill or rotary-hammer mode operation.
Installation of this bit should be performed by a tradesperson familiar with masonry drilling procedures. Confirm the drill is set to rotary mode only before use — engaging hammer mode with this bit can cause premature tip failure or bit breakage. Secure the drill chuck firmly and verify bit seating before starting. When drilling near existing utilities or structural reinforcement, follow applicable trade and building code requirements for penetration locations and clearances.
