The FREUD DHS2563 is a 2-9/16 inch diameter hole saw with a 2-3/8 inch cutting depth, designed for single-pass boring through wood and metal. The variable tooth geometry reduces vibration during the cut and improves chip clearance for faster material removal. A tool-free plug ejection system speeds up workflow between holes. The Snap Lock mounting interface allows quick arbor changes without downtime, compatible with one Snap Lock mandrel that fits all Diablo hole saws from 5/8 inch through 6 inch diameter. The mandrel and pilot bit are sold separately. This saw is suited for trade professionals who need consistent, repeatable hole quality in demanding jobsite conditions.
The DHS2563 is intended for use in wood and metal applications across residential and light commercial work. Typical install scenarios include boring penetrations for pipe, conduit, ductwork, and hardware in framing lumber, engineered wood panels, sheet metal, and similar materials. The 2-3/8 inch cutting depth allows through-boring in a single pass on standard dimensional lumber and light-gauge metal without repositioning the tool. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, and general contractors will find this saw fits standard jobsite workflows where speed and hole quality both matter.
Compatible with the Snap Lock mandrel system that fits all Diablo hole saws ranging from 5/8 inch to 6 inch diameter. Suitable for use in wood and metal. Mandrel and pilot bit are sold separately.
Install the appropriate Snap Lock mandrel and pilot bit before use; these components are sold separately. Ensure the drill or drill press is powered off and the bit is fully secured in the chuck before beginning any cut. When boring metal, use appropriate cutting fluid and eye protection per standard trade practice. Always confirm the workpiece is secured before applying tool pressure to prevent workpiece movement or blade binding.
